Vacancy 1: Field Internships offer you a unique chance to experience first hand a job at one of their field locations. A sense of adventure and ambition are a must in this outdoor, 24-hour, 365-day work environment where getting your hands dirty and working long hours under pressure is expected. You must be willing to travel and experience working in different cultures and environments. The primary objective of this type of internship is find out if a Field Engineer position with Schlumberger is really the job for you. The educational requirements are completion of second year studies or above in an undergraduate program in any Engineering discipline, Geology, Geophysics and certain Pure Sciences.

Vacancy 2: The office based internship for Petrotechnical and IT graduates is aimed at giving you exposure to a variety of work within the operational environment. You will be expected to assist wherever you can with ongoing projects to ensure that they run smoothly and efficiently. Time will be spent with other Geoscientists or your domain specialist to help answer any questions you may have. These placements are available all year long at almost all of our offices around the globe with a minimum duration of 3 to 6 months. The educational requirements are completion of second year studies or above in an undergraduate program in Geology, Geophysics, Computer Sciences, Telecommunications and Engineering.

They also offer a wide range of internship opportunities in our Research, Development and Manufacturing (RDM) centers. During the internship, you will be given a true industry problem to solve while working with a team of established Schlumberger experts. These placements are available all year long in almost all of our RDM centers around the globe with a minimum duration of 3 to 6 months, which qualifies them as final year projects and internships for most schools and universities around the world.
Their RDM centers offer internships in almost all engineering disciplines, applied sciences, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, in pursuit of their mission to create, design, build and deploy the most advanced technology, equipment and solutions available in the petroleum industry. Some sample internship titles that have been offered in the past are:
numerical simulation of mechanical systems
design and test of electro-mechanical devices
functional analysis and performance improvement of existing products
supplier load evaluation
development of new or improved techniques, procedures, or products through innovation or cost reduction solutions
Educational requirements for a Research, Development and Manufacturing internships are completion of 3 years of an undergraduate degree or currently engaged in a Master's or PhD program in all engineering disciplines, applied sciences, manufacturing, supply chain or logistics.
