Reconciliation and Settlement Manager
The job holder will be responsible for timely and accurate reconciliation of all Visa transactions and related inter-bank/intra-bank settlements.
Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
A business related degree preferably in Accounting or Finance from a recognized University
CPA(K) or ACCA qualifications
Certificates in VISA Financial Reconciliation and Clearing and Settlement
Thorough knowledge of both debit and credit card operations
Thorough knowledge of acquiring, reconciliation and settlement
Over 5 years working experience in card management of which 2 years must have been at management level in Reconciliation and Settlement
Key Responsibilities
Ensure daily reconciliation of Visa transactions both nationally and internationally.
Ensure correct postings of transactions for Visa
Ensure daily reconciliation of all Visa related general ledger accounts
Ensure efficient settlement of merchant transactions on daily basis
Ensure collection of all Visa related revenues especially interchange fees
Ensure reconciliation of unclaimed outgoing Visa balances on a monthly basis and write backs of the same.
Liaise with Risk and Fraud Manager with regards to suspicious merchant transactions
Ensure timely submission of Visa Quarterly Operating Certificate
Verify the incoming and outgoing Visa reports

Product design and enhancement
Champion customer service
Assist customers log on to the eBanking platform, change password and transact on the channel
Ensure all customers are set up on the eBanking platform, passwords and tokes are dispatched and any issues arising are resolved as stipulated in the policies and procedures

The job holder will be responsible for timely and efficient dispute management and resolution in line with Visa regulations on all Acquiring and issuing activity of the Bank
Candidate’s Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
A business related degree preferably in Accounting or Finance from a recognized University
CPA(K) or ACCA qualifications
Certificate in VISA and Disputes Resolution
Thorough knowledge of both debit and credit card operations
Thorough knowledge of VISA rules
Over 3 years working experience in card management of which 1 year must have been at management level in Dispute Resolutions
Key Responsibilities
Ensure efficient processing of chargebacks to avoid financial losses to the Bank
Facilitate and follow up on Bank compliance and arbitration cases lodged
Provide regular reports to management with regard to the functions and trends in transactions disputes both issuing and acquiring
Daily review of Visa online copy request and chargebacks queues
Daily review of the Suspect Outgoing Chargeback report that highlight irregular transactions
Use of Card Management System to process chargeback financials and copy requests
Daily balancing and review of GL suspense accounts to ensure all items are within the set business rules
