Metro Mass Transit is recruiting for Human Resources Officer

Job Purpose: To assist the Human Resource Manager in performing day-to-day Human Resource tasks of the Department.

Main Duties

Develop and maintain manpower database and assist in the management of Human Resource computerised database and associated policies and procedures.
Assist in developing and keeping under constant review, the Comapany's manpower plan.
Be responsible for effective maintenance and updating of employee records from time-to-time
Co-ordinate the negotiation of the Collective Bargaining process as well as the review of the Non-Unionised Staff conditions of service.
Undertake salary surveys with comparable organisations to determine the Company's competiveness in the labour market
Co-ordinate the processing of employee Performance Appraisal System
Assist in co-ordinating the employment and induction process for new staff
Maintain an up-to-date staff record and Human Resource System to ensure smooth information retrieval in respect of disciplinary actions, transfers, performance appraisals, increment and promotions
Be responsible for preparing, controlling and processing of pay sheets in collaboration with appropriate Heads of Department and Payroll Sections
Perform administrative functions relating to procedures of leave, retirement, terminations, staff benefits etc.
Perform any other duties as from time-to-time may be assigned


Required Skills or Experience

Qualification and Experience

A good first degree in Human Resource Management with eight (8) years working experience ar a supervisory level.
Sound computer literacy.
