ZAIN1218 - Cash Management Team Leader

Basic Purpose:
To supervise and Control all shop payments, bankings, receipting and reconciliation with the shop sales in accordance with the pre-defined standards and measures and ensuring accuracy of centre's financial activities & reporting
To consistently perform and within the set ZAIN service standards thus ensuring customer satisfaction.
Monitors Cash management process and activities and works with Customer service manager - Walk In and Branch managers to ensure effectiveness and efficiency

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
Participate as an active member of the Customer Care Walk-in team .
Communicate in a positive, professional style.
Take care of company equipment and tools.
Ensure security and confidentiality of information.
Be knowledgeable on all company related information, products and services.
Monitors, Controls and reconciles defined Centre payments
Ensure that all payments (Cash/Cheque/Credit cards) are received and accurately reported for all shop sales, subscriber bill payments, EVD and Zap transactions.
Elicit and verify information from Branch Cashiers for correctness.
Verification of banking of cash/cheque/credit card payments.
Ensuring that the cash float is utilized as per policy and maintained at the expected amount.
Ensure that banking is done on a daily basis and the banking slips forwarded to and reconciled with Finance department.
Monitor branch operating cash limits for Zap, petty cash.
Conduct sporadic counts and make recommendations for correction.
Supervise and monitor Branch Cashiers to ensure compliance with all operational, security and control policies, preventing fraud and protecting customers.
Perform various month end accounting duties to ensure zero variance in cash management in centres.
Maintain security and access records on all cash management systems.
Continously review Cash Management systems and process for compliance and improvements.
Performs risk assessment and management activities.
Participate on cross-functional teams to improve efficiency in Cash Management functions.
Ensure that Cash collections are reconciled with shop sales daily.
Participate in Monthly Branch stock take exercise and ensure stock reconciliation.
Ensure adequate security during all cash management activities.
Periodic reporting of Zain Centres cash and stock management activities
Maintain record of Cash Management activities.
Generate and Maintain records of Centre's sales, bill collections and bankings
Effectively retrieve information using appropriate systems
Meet performance standards.
Ensure real time capture of all centre's financial transactions.
Know and understand Customer Care Performance Standards and individual targets
Document, analyze and interpret daily individual reports
Provide daily feedback on performance in relation to pre-defined standards and measures
Adhere to Walk-in schedule and professional "Zain" attitude
Escalate complex cases and liaises with Customer Service Manager - Walk In to resolve customer queries and meet their expectations.

Competencies & Qualifications:
Qualifications
University Degree, Diploma, CPA II or equivalent
3 years work experience in a commercial environment
IT literacy
Able to operate in a performance driven organization
Knowledge of English and Swahili
