Pelvin Company Limited, a major player in the mining industry in Ghana is seeking to recruit the listed professional who is dynamic, creative, inspirational & motivated to fill the position below:

Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will develop and Implement successful HR strategies and systems that support the long growth and transformation of the organization in line with strategic Human Resources Management practices.

Develop and implement HR policies, systems and procedures for the Company
Advice, guide and support heads of department in adopting best HR practices across the company and ensure policies, procedures and practices conform to current employment legislation requirements
Responsible for workforce planning, training and development, staff motivation and benefits /reward management, performance management, welfare and industrial relations
Contribute to organizational change projects to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Company
Ensure HR systems and procedures implemented from time to time to enable the Company to achieve high performance and quality standards, and recommending changes where appropriate
Manage and supervise community-related activities through established polities of the Company
Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time

Required Skills or Experience

A degree-level qualification with at least ten (10) years working experience as a Human Resources-generalist, five (5) years of which must be in a managerial role
Working experience in multi-national companies
Experienced in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
Working knowledge of the Ghana Labour Laws and other laws applicable to the workplace
Proven track record in effective leadership of staff- motivating, performance managing and developing of staff
Experience in engaging unionized staff in change process and management
Excellent negotiation, mediation and communication skills
Ability to build team spirit, morale and high performance and actively encourage cross functional cooperation for the benefit of the company
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
Sound understanding and appreciation of workplace diversity
Must be computer literate in MS Office software Including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, electronic mail etc
Must possess a valid Ghanaian driver's license
