![]() | We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our finance team at the British Council in Senegal. As part of the team you will be responsible for assisting the office with day to day issues related to finance, procurement, business continuity and premises. This is an assistant post and you will help the Finance Team (Finance Manager and Finance Officer) by processing a range of SAP based tasks such as raising Purchase Orders, procurement/suppliers, financial and budgetary information, assistance with financial and accounting services, as well as premises maintenance. To achieve this, you will have experience and familiarity of working with a SAP accounting system and have excellent IT skills. You will have a qualification in accounting to at least Brevet Supérieur Technique BAC+2 or equivalent level and at least 3 years previous finance and accountancy experience. You will demonstrate willingness and ability to deal appropriately with internal and external clients; you will have the ability to work towards goals set by others and to measure progress against targets; you will have demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills and the flexibility to be able to work with a variety of situations, individuals and groups. You will be an effective team member working co-operatively across all sections to achieve shared goals. You will also be able to show you can organise yourself so that you ensure you are on top of your day to day work. You will have a clean driving licence and have basic skills to handle tasks involving simple maintenance duties.
