JOB TITTLE: EXECUTIVE GRANT WRITERS FOR AFRICA
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for skilled writers and communicators, who is/are enthusiastic about supporting community development through grant programs, and who can work with public, private and corporate funding agencies and community partners for Africa.
The primary function of Executive grant writer position is to develop, write and edit grants proposal to corporate and private foundations and as well as government agencies, and to secure funding to supports our programs in areas as humanitarian, social, education and health.
Responsibilities and Development:
• Conduct research on potential corporate foundation and government sources that aligned with priorities
• Fully investigate funding prospects’ guidelines and giving histories to determine eligibility and appropriate request
• Knowledgeable author of books, communicate, and adhere to timeline, and plans for securing grants from funders
• Write compelling case statements, letters of inquiry, full proposals and any related correspondence and assist with development of accurate budgets in keeping with establish policies and procedures
• Participate in broad campaigns and activities as an active member of the sponsored program team
• Maintain grant reporting system
• Maintain file of current information of inclusion with proposals, including: statistical data, program descriptions
• Generate reports and document for Executive Director
Communication
• Support and promotes a focus, and understanding of Ayeni International Inc. mission
• Create fundraising presentations and materials as needed
• Maintain a process of timely acknowledge for donors
Planning & Management
• Assists in preparing an annual development plan
• Manage the workload of grants
Work Experience and Skill Requirement
• 5 years or More of grant writing, communication, journalism and English experience, working knowledge of foundations, government, and educational discipline
• 5 years or more of fundraising
Education
• Must possess a Master degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English Language and Social Sciences, PhD is preferred
